Templevisit

Thanjavur District is the Rice Bowl of Tamil Nadu. The Big Temple and the other famous temples in the district are known all over the world. Thanjavur was the cultural capital of the country in 1790. Thanjavur gained prominence during the period of Chola Kings, who made it as their capital. Thereafter, it was ruled by Nayaks and Maratta Kings, who nurtured art and culture. The cultural, the architectural and the scholarly pursuits of these rulers are reflected in the great monuments like Grand Anaicut, Big Temple and Serfoji Mahal Library etc. in the district. Recently I visited the big temple with my family members. It is very much exiting and unbelievable . In ancient days Chola King Sri Rajaraja Chloan. This temple stands for the ancient architect of Cholas..Lord Siva in this temple is the family deity of the Chloa Kings.

We the South Indians worship Lord Siva. The Manthras for this God is Rudhram, talks about the greatness of Siva. The chloa King made his citizens to follow Lord Siva he encouraged the worships in temples. He only built this Big Temple in his days. He brought big stones and followed a great architecture and built it. A very big Nandhi facing God is famous and looks very nice. On entering into this temple I felt very much inspiring and emerged in the worship. I want to share the happiness and eternal satisfaction I had with my fellow global . Tanjore district has so many hundreds of temples in and around the district. There are a lot of trains available from Chennai egmore to Tanjore. We can reach Trich from Chennai either by train or bus then catch a bus to Tanjore . It will take one and half an hour to reach Tanjore from Trichy. A lot of Tamilnadu buses are flying within a gap of fifteen minutes.

Sri Thiagaraja Swamy (A.D 1767-1847). The life and work of Thiagaraja, the bard of Tiruvaiyaru, is a miracle of miracles. For no musician, with exception of Purandaradasa, revolutionized and gave direction to Indian music as he did.
